I am pleased to report that Part I Violent crime dropped 20.2% in 2010 as compared to 2009, and is nearly 28% below the five year average.  In 2010, there were 3,036 reported Part I crimes representing a 17% reduction in overall crime as compared to 2006, and well below the five year average of 3,179 reported total Part I crimes.  Part I property crimes did increase by 5.4% and totaled 2,906 for 2010, however, this total is still below the five year average of 2,941.  Overall crime rose 3.5% as compared to 2009.  Total calls for service were 37,352.    Read More...
