METRICH

The Richland County’s METRICH has a primary goal is to interdict the flow of illegal drugs, weapons and gang

activity into the region. Utilizing the “Weed and Seed” methodology with a Community-Policing Philosophy, the

unit relies on community partnerships to improve the quality of life in our neighborhoods.

METRICH, now in its 22nd year, is the largest decentralized task force in the State of Ohio. The task force covers

10 counties and includes more than 40 participating agencies.
