RECORDS
The Records Section is composed of civilian records
clerks who report directly to the Operations Supervisor.
The Records
Section is responsible to report control, record maintenance, retrieval and
disposition. The
Section also provides administrative and information desk
support through the police aides, secretaries and
data entry personnel.
The Records Section was successful at maintaining a less
than 1% error rate on all submissions to OCJS for
the year of 2008. Records
Section staff at the end of the year consisted of the Operations Supervisor, (1)
Supervisor 1, (7) Record Clerks, (2) Transcriber Clerks, (1) Secretary 1, (1)
Clerk Typist, and (2) Police Aides.
The Records Section had (3) retirements in
the year 2008. Records Section personnel also opened, maintained,
and
stored criminal case jackets, maintained all criminal records, issued City chauffeur’s licenses and
entertainer’s licenses, and performed a variety of
other non-specified tasks in support of the Division.
