Neighborhood Watch
Neighborhood Watch is a clear asset and continues to show the ability to sustain and improve upon our community based initiatives.

C.O.P.P.S.(Citizens On Patrol)
The Citizens On Patrol Program is composed in neighborhoods, much like your own, that have decided to insure the safety of their community by forming a partnership with the Mansfield Division of Police. Each volunteer in C.O.P.P. receives training, uniform, and guidance from the Mansfield Police Department to ensure that this program succeeds in helping eliminate crime from your neighborhood. To learn more please read the Citizens On Patrol Brochure.
Neighborhood Watch
Neighborhood Watch is a crime prevention program which enlists the active participation of citizens in cooperation with law enforcement to
reduce crime in their communities. Networks of neighbors are trained by prevention officers on how to protect themselves and their property as well
as how to serve effectively as additional eyes and ears of law enforcement.
What Neighborhood Watch Involves:
* Neighbors getting to
know each other and working together in a program of mutual assistance.
* Citizens being trained to recognize and report suspicious and criminal
activities, such as burglary, larceny, vandalism, and littering.
* Implementation of crime prevention techniques such as home security and suspect
identification.
* REMEMBER-law enforcement officers can’t be everywhere at once-but you and your neighbors can put that neighborhood “know how” to work.
